UncategorizedFostering Diversity in Trial Advocacy: Reflections on Chairing the ACTL’s Diversity Trial Advocacy Program

May 22, 20230

I was honored to again Chair the American College of Trial Lawyers’ (ACTL) Diversity Trial Advocacy Program. Our society is diverse. Our courthouses are diverse. We believe the trial lawyers trying cases in those courtrooms ought better mirror the diversity in our society. The ACTL held its trial advocacy program for 50 diverse attorneys gathered from each corner of our country. A national faculty of ACTL Fellows took the participant lawyers through each segment of trial, in a supportive learn-from-demonstrations, learn-by-doing, learn by coaching setting. We thought it important to volunteer our time to do and we had fun doing it.
